Working Dates

We use the information from the calendar to provide our users with a context for each rating. We do this by grouping the ratings into two-year time intervals based on the most recent date selected.

For example, if the “To” date of a rating fell sometime in 2007, the rating would be grouped into our 2007-2008 two-year time frame. If the “To” selection fell sometime in the year 2006, then the rating would be grouped into the 2005-2006 two-year time frame.

This helps people viewing the ratings to understand the time-frame upon which a rater’s scores are based. This can clarify the relevancy of a rating to the present time, and can highlight an organization’s evolution or changes. For example, poor ratings from 4-6 years ago, and better ratings from the past 2 years, may indicate improvement or change in the organization.

If you do not know the exact start and end dates of your work then use an approximate value, such as the first day of the month in which you know you started.
